I am in for anything by Eva Hudson. I have read them all and I anticipate each new book. I enjoy Ingrid Skyberg the main character. She has more insight than those in charge of the investigations because of the pain in her own life from a loss of a friend when they were young girls. Yet she learns from those in charge as well. When Eva writes about the London council estates it is with first hand knowledge because she lived in one growing up. She began to write due in part to the books she enjoyed by Lee Childs and Michael Connolly who are both two of my very favorite writers. Eva has done so many things in her life from working as a government officer to project management to content editor and more. It feels like all her experiences come to bear in one of her books or the other along with the fact that she in her own self is not afraid to branch out and try new things, just like her character Ingrid. I am always on the lookout for the newest Eva Hudson book.Product details

I have been following these serie and I found this book as amazing as the other 2. It's that kind of book that doesn't allow you to stop reading until you finish it. Once again Ingrid is focused, sharp and intelligent. She sort outs the different situations pretty good and manges to deal with her own personal issues. Finally she gets that clousure she was needing so hard.
Wow this book was fantastic. Even though I had figured out that them husband wasn't guilty I was surprised at the end.
So glad that her friends murder was solved.
Excellent story! I have come to enjoy Ingrid very much and this story gives us a personal look into her life. We find out what happened to her childhood friend, an experience that has shaped Ingrid's life. Ingrid continues to get closer to both Natashia and Ralph and we get a little insight into her mother. Oh yeah than there's Ingrid's new case which kept me guessing. What I like the most about about her is that she keeps an open mind instead of taking the easy out.
I read the first Ingrid Skyberg book and was not particularly impressed, although I like Eva Hudson as an author very much. I still think I prefer her stand alone books to this series. That said, this is a very good book. It had several twists and turns but more importantly the thread between the main plot and the sub plot was excellent, and the latter was very moving. I will certainly look out for the next in this series and I would recommend this as a very worthwhile read. Maureen Rowland-aitken! Johannesburg South africa

The Ingrid Skyberg series(3 books) is outstanding. Extremely well written. Hudson had said her writing style was influenced by Michael Connelly and as a Connelly fan I can see the similarity.
Unfortunately, Eva's website says that the author died in March 2015 from cancer. Sadly, an exceptional talent is lost. The Skyberg novels were her last work with all three written in the year before her death after she had been told her cancer was terminal.
If you enjoy police thrillers, you owe it to yourself to read the Skyberg series.
Eva continues to keep us wanting more of Ingrid and her cases. Have read this series from the beginning and it's been awesome to get to know these characters and watch them become friends and grow in their relationships. Ingrid brings you in and you ride along beside her while she solves her cases and struggles with all the emotional baggage. Ready for more, Great Job Eva!!
